Lufthansa, a key member of the global Star Alliance network, connects passengers seamlessly to its 26 alliance member airlines. The addition of this route further strengthens Lufthansa’s position in North America, where it already operates daily flights connecting Seattle to Frankfurt (FRA).

The Seattle-Munich addition marks SEA’s third international route launch in 2024, following Hainan Airlines’ flight to Chongqing and Alaska Airlines’ launch to Toronto. SEA now boasts connections to 33 international destinations, spread across 50 services operated by 25 different airlines.

The inaugural flight was celebrated at SEA with a traditional water-cannon salute set up by two fire trucks stationed at either side of the gate. Inside the departure terminal, travelers and Lufthansa staff commemorated the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting event.

With its cutting-edge cabin design, passengers can also anticipate an elevated level of comfort. Business travelers, in particular, will enjoy the convenience of seamless connections from Munich to Lufthansa’s extensive European and global network.
